To provide a solution to building owners, Commercial
Consulting Services, Inc. has developed a watchdog system
specifically designed to protect their air conditioning
equipment. The CCS A/C Alarm System system knows when a piece
of equipment has been tampered with and immediately dials up to
four telephone numbers giving each recipient a verbal message
that a burglary is in process. If desired, a horn and/or
strobe can be connected to provide warning to scare off the
thief once pressure is lost in the first circuit. The system
also monitors the 120vac powering the alarm system and dials
out a separate voice message in the event the power is
disconnected.
Some of the watchdog features of the CCS A/C Alarm System include:
TAMPER PROOF
The system is engineered so the controller, wiring and pressure
sensors are located within the building. This prevents the
system from being disabled by an intruder prior to committing
the crime.
FLEXIBLE
 The CCS A/C
Alarm System can be configured to have any number of
refrigerant sensors. This allows the system to be easily
installed into any building configuration.
HORN / STROBE CONTROL
 A timing
circuit is included that will allow for installation of horns
and/or strobes on the exterior of the building to provide an
audio/visual alarm. The circuit will turn off the horns after
a preset period while leaving the strobes on until the system
is reset. Multiple horns and/or strobes can be oerated at the
same time.
EASY TO INSTALL
Installation instructions guide you through installing the
control panel, the pressure sensors, and making the wiring
connections. The pressure sensors are connected to the suction
refrigerant lines near the air handlers. These sensors are
wired in series using a two conductor plenum wire.
When an alarm is sensed, the phone number(s) to be dialed by
the CCS A/C Alarm System controller are easily programmed
following instructions provided. The voice messages to be used
are simple to record. The dialer is a dial-out only device
that can be connected to any of your existing phone lines

With scrap copper prices
at their highest level in many years, copper theft has become a
very common occurrence. On television we hear of wire being
stolen from street lights but the theft of copper has expanded
to many other targets. One of the most rapidly growing areas
of theft is from air conditioning equipment. The refrigerant
coils can be taken from a condenser in few minutes with nothing
more than a screwdriver and a pair of pruning shears.
